About The Position

This role is for a Production Machine Operator 1, a full-time position located in Simi Valley, CA. The company is seeking to fill this role through an exclusive confidential search. The operator will help the team meet production goals by operating and maintaining routine production machinery to produce parts that meet specifications. The work will be performed onsite on a 1st shift schedule (Monday–Friday, 5:00am–1:30pm) alongside production and quality teams. Occasional support for variable schedules or additional hours may be required. The role directly supports safe, efficient manufacturing and consistency in product quality.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant experience operating machinery in a factory or industrial setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with lathes, milling machines, and stamping presses
• Knowledge of tooling and ability to work with a variety of materials
• Proficiency with hand tools and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints
• Basic math proficiency and strong attention to detail
• Effective oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on production machinery and test equipment
• Follow job travelers, blueprints, schematics, models, and specifications to complete assigned work
• Troubleshoot machines and implement solutions to restore peak performance
• Maintain adequate raw material stock and perform scheduled equipment maintenance
• Verify production items are within tolerances and meet documented specifications
• Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers) to ensure product quality
• Collaborate with the production team to meet targets and quality standards
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned; maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
