About The Position

GAF is seeking Machine Operators to produce high-quality commercial and residential roofing products at its Cumming, Georgia plant. The role performs rotating duties across manufacturing operations, with safety, quality, service, and cost as priorities. Operators run injection molding equipment, inspect product, maintain operational records, support production activities, and keep assigned areas clean. The schedule involves 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, with overtime and some weekend work.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of manufacturing experience or military experience.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few physical variables in everyday situations.

Nice To Haves

Strong mechanical skills.
Maintenance-related experience.
Injection molding experience.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment safely to prevent equipment damage and injuries.
Wear required safety and health protective equipment and follow all safety rules.
Run one or more 1500-ton injection molding machines and resolve downstream automation faults.
Safely load and unload material using an electric pallet jack.
Inspect parts according to quality procedures.
Maintain accurate operational records as directed.
Participate in production team activities during downtime and start-up, product changes, operational problems, cleanup, and training.
Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas.
Work any 12-hour shift on a rotating shift schedule.
Work overtime and some weekends.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
