About The Position

This role involves working independently and efficiently in handling assigned responsibilities within a manufacturing environment. Key duties include performing machine and quality checks, understanding and following operator instructions, inspecting parts and finished products for compliance with standards, and effectively communicating process or product issues. The position requires good communication with team members, shift work with potential overtime, and punctual attendance. Associates must be alert due to the presence of automation and constantly moving equipment. Responsibilities also include inspecting incoming parts and outgoing shipments, operating material handling equipment safely, processing shipping and receiving forms, and accurately inputting inventory transactions into the computer system.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in handling assigned responsibilities.
  • Must understand and follow the operator instructions for the area.

  • Requires shift work and overtime.
  • Punctual presence (attendance and timeliness) on assigned work days.
  • Must be alert, working in an area of automation and constant moving equipment.
  • Must be able to operate all material handling equipment in an alert, safe and effective manner.
  • Requires work in an environment with limited movement.
  • Requires good hand/eye coordination due to the repetitive nature of the job.
  • Requires constant standing and moving 8-12 hours per day.
  • Must be able to constantly lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and kneel.
  • Must be able to apply up to 66lbs push/pull force unassisted.
  • Must be able to reach overhead.

Responsibilities

  • Perform machine and quality checks as outlined on work instructions.
  • Understand and follow the operator instructions for the area.
  • Inspect in process parts and finished product to insure compliance with standards.
  • Effectively communicate process/product problems.
  • Inspect incoming parts and outgoing shipments to insure compliance with Quality standards.
  • Operate all material handling equipment in an alert, safe and effective manner.
  • Processing of freight bills, packing slips, receiving reports, bill of lading, and other related receiving and shipping forms.
  • Accurate input of all transactions related to inventory into computer system.
  • Teamwork and participation of company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Employee Involvement.
  • Effective communication and involvement with team members and internal departments.
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Maintain 5’s standards.
