Production Line Worker
About The Position
The Production Line Worker performs bench, conveyor, assembly, and packaging line tasks to meet safety, quality, and quantity standards in a fast-paced contract packaging setting. The role also supports job safety, training, and development of employees with disabilities by leading by example and demonstrating a strong work ethic. Work may include assembly using common hand tools or assembly equipment; packaging with filling and packaging equipment when needed; and sorting, inspecting, labeling, and other production tasks. The worker may switch between production lines, assist supervisors with training, motivating, and coaching team members, help ensure quality standards and production targets are met, provide protective oversight of employees, report behaviors or incidents to a supervisor, and maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitized workspace. The position is located in St. Peters, Missouri. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pay is $16 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to follow and remember instructions.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform bench, conveyor, assembly, and packaging line tasks to meet safety, quality, and quantity standards.
- Perform assembly work with or without common hand tools and assembly equipment.
- Complete packaging tasks using filling and packaging equipment when needed.
- Perform sorting, inspecting, labeling, and other production tasks.
- Switch efficiently between production lines as needed.
- Assist supervisors in training, motivating, and coaching fellow team members.
- Help ensure quality standards and production targets are met.
- Provide protective oversight of employees and report employee behaviors, incidents, or accidents to a supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitized workspace.
