About The Position

The purpose of this role is to support the operation of a production line, including auxiliary equipment. This involves basic adjustments, stocking consumables, loading/unloading materials, feeding tobacco, operating case packers, preparing pallets, and cleaning the line and surrounding area to ensure smooth production according to output and quality standards. As a service operator, you will assist the line operator with minor preventive maintenance and standard creation for equipment. Maintaining a clean and orderly workplace according to 5S3R standards is also required.

Requirements

  • Completion of technical/vocational training
  • 1+ year experience in a similar role in a production environment
  • Fluency in English (Written and oral)
  • Basic PC skills (MS Office applications)

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation of simple machinery, enabling timely production, feeding materials, and packaging products according to JTI quality standards at the lowest possible cost.
  • Take ownership for basic manual operations of the line such as loading, unloading of filters, palletizing & tobacco feeding.
  • Support timely cleaning and basic adjustments of the machine according to JTI standards.
  • Correctly report wastes, machine downtimes, breakdowns, and material usage.
  • Use the right materials as per product specifications and check them at the beginning of each shift.
  • Change product at the machine/line when required.
  • Fill the machine with material and replenish consumables as required.
  • Use automation tools and visualization to identify errors and faults that could impact quality and machine functioning, escalating to the operator when necessary.
  • Ensure product adherence to JTI's quality standards and support the operator in identifying visual defects.
  • Sort rejected products and waste materials.
  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts within Make Pack, including machines and systems used in production.
  • Ensure production area cleanliness and compliance with 5S3R standards.
  • Ensure completeness and condition of own working tools.
  • Support companywide CI initiatives such as IWS - Integrated Work System.
  • Adhere to operational, legal, and official regulations on occupational safety and accident prevention.
  • Understand health and safety aspects of own work, identify potential hazards, and maintain a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses, and report and eliminate identified unsafe conditions and behaviors within own authority.
  • Pass information on possible safety-related issues during shift handover.
  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.
