The Production Line Lead is responsible for driving line efficiency, optimizing labor utilization, maintaining safe and compliant operations, and ensuring production goals are achieved. This position provides on-the-floor leadership, coaching, coordination, and communication to support daily manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 + years of manufacturing leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of safety requirements, GMPs, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to train, coach, motivate and develop employees.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective English communication skills; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate safety, quality, staffing, and production expectations.
  • Coordinate daily production activities, staffing, line flow, changeovers, and production priorities.
  • Monitor production OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) performance on an hourly basis, quality, labor utilization, waste, downtime, scrap goals and overall operational performance.
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to associates while supporting employee development and cross-training.
  • Respond to downtime, troubleshoot operational issues, and coordinate support from maintenance, quality, and supervision.
  • Complete production documentation, shift reports, labor tracking, and operational records accurately and timely.
  • Communicate shift performance, inventory status, and operational concerns during shift handoffs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, GMPs, SOPs, and company standards.
  • Escalate safety, quality, employee relations, and operational concerns as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
