Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred or two years of consistent job history
- Proficiency in standard computer software required, Outlook, Excel, Word
- Proficient in English
- Effective communication, safety, and leadership skills
- Must have the ability to use computer and programs such as SAGE, outlook and excel for shift reporting
- Must be able to work in hot or cold environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
- Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
- Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
- Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
- Applicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to receive, store, and transport raw materials, ingredients, and finished products, support inbound and outbound shipments, and meet production needs
- Receive, inspect, store, and distribute raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation
- Selecting, preparing, and loading products for outbound shipment per customer specifications
- Responsible for the storage of raw material, ingredients or finished product
- Receiving, unloading, and inspecting inbound ingredients/packaging materials
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
- Assist in training new employees
