About The Position

Atlas Roofing Shingle and Underlayment is seeking a Production Line Lead for Clinton, IA. This role involves becoming trained in all production line positions, leading daily production meetings, assisting the Production Supervisor with employee development, resolving reporting issues, and participating in various investigations and initiatives to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. The Production Line Lead is responsible for ensuring quality products are produced, leading by example in safety compliance, promoting excellent housekeeping, and completing additional assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of manufacturing or production experience is required.
  • Ability to become qualified in a minimum of five (5) production line positions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proven ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Proficient with using computers and business software, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet-based applications.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain consistent attendance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership or lead experience is preferred.
  • Previous shingle manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Become trained in all production line positions and provide relief coverage as needed.
  • Lead and participate in daily production meetings and shift huddles to prioritize work and maximize efficiency.
  • Assist the Production Supervisor with employee training, coaching, and development.
  • Assist in resolving production reporting issues and maintaining accurate production records.
  • Participate in root cause failure analyses, accident investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Work closely with plant leadership to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.
  • Ensure quality products are produced while assisting with troubleshooting, corrective actions, and quality improvements.
  • Lead by example in performing all job duties safely, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with all plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safety initiatives, continuous improvement initiatives, safety audits, and other assigned inspections.
  • Promote excellent housekeeping standards throughout the production area.
  • Complete additional assignments and projects as needed to support the production team.
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
