This part-time position is responsible for programming, operating, maintaining, and executing studio lighting production. The role involves operating the lighting control console, programming lighting, and requires experience in installing, hanging, focusing, and circuiting lighting equipment. The operator will also manage teleprompter systems and news production operating systems, perform lighting cue checks, replace and fix lighting fixtures, and oversee lighting maintenance and repair. Additionally, the position contributes to overall studio support, including storage systems, inventory, set maintenance, props, and ensuring a safe workspace. Collaboration with the Stage Management team for stage marks and assisting in props/grip functions during live broadcasts are also key aspects. This role significantly impacts broadcast presentation quality, requiring attention to detail and the ability to facilitate professional lighting design.
