About The Position

Flex is hiring a Production Lead in Dallas, Texas, to lead a team completing assigned manufacturing projects related to relay and control panels. The role reports to the Production Manager and works the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Flex notes that its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment is planned to spin off into an independent publicly traded company, Axiom, in Q1 2027; if the spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, which focuses on critical digital infrastructure and power and thermal management solutions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or a related field.
• Prior experience effectively leading a team of employees.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management.
• Ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
• Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
• Basic understanding of tools such as a tape measure and impact drill.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of assigned team employees.
• Address minor discipline problems and refer more serious cases to the supervisor.
• Assist with planning and preparing training and orientation for new team members in partnership with the training specialist and team trainer.
• Discuss upcoming work assignments with team members and delegate work based on their skills and experience.
• Assist team members with technical issues and advanced problems related to their assignments.
• Inspect work performed by team members.
• Track and log workers’ time, materials, and other resources for inventory purposes.
• Partner with the supervisor or Production Manager to resolve departmental issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete assemblies and sub-assemblies for manufacturing projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
