About The Position

The RAW Production Lead supports daily operations in assigned areas by coordinating workflow, guiding team members, and ensuring processes run safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role works closely with the Production Manager to maintain consistent output.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in food manufacturing or similar environment, including experience leading/coordinating production team members
High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Experience in RAW meat, deli/dry cured RAW industry; or similar industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day tasks in assigned areas, ensuring team members understand work assignments and production goals; serve as the primary point of contact on the floor for immediate questions, issues, and direction.
Assist with training new employees on processes, equipment setup, safety, GMPs and other company policies or SOPs.
Ensure proper preparation of ingredients, equipment, and materials prior to production startup.
Ensure start-ups are timely by understanding equipment and line set-up needs and partnering with other departments as needed; coordinate change-overs, and related activities as appropriate.
Monitor CCPs, process controls, time parameters, etc. to ensure compliance with HACCP and USDA/FSIS requirements.
Perform quality and weight checks and ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Communicate production status, issues, downtime, and needed adjustments to the Production Manager.
Help troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate support from Maintenance when needed.
Model and promote positive and effective interactions with others, and adhere to company policies include those related to safety, GMP, HAACP, SOP’s, SSOP’s and housekeeping standards.
Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste, improve yields, and streamline workflows.
