About The Position

This role is for a Production Lead on the Night Shift (D Shift), working Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. The Production Lead will operate specified Service Bureau equipment and take a lead role in making production and associate decisions in the absence of the Production Supervisor. This involves guiding associates, assisting with customer directives, minimizing waste, communicating effectively, and ensuring production quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or four years’ job-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Standing over 2/3 of the time daily.
  • Using hands to finger, handle or feel over 2/3 of the time daily.
  • Reaching with hands and arms.
  • Lifting between 25lbs and 50lbs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time daily.
  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) for quality control standards.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and a drug screening (post-offer, condition of employment).

Responsibilities

  • Run assigned Service Bureau equipment as trained.
  • Provide guidance to associates in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Assist Supervisor with customer required directives, deliveries, changes, emergencies, problems with data, and special files by printing accurately and efficiently.
  • Minimize waste and misuse of raw materials.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow associates, customer service, and the supervisor, following daily job schedules and understanding customer needs.
  • Use ERP system to log time and materials accurately.
  • Ensure all production quality standards are met through sampling and checking jobs.
  • Help maintain equipment by placing service calls.
  • Maintain inventory levels and pre-printed items, ensuring correct storage and neatness.
  • Ensure timely arrival of customer data and alert supervisors if data is late.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisors and/or management, including distribution and machine room functions.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Comply with all Company policies, including those concerning a drug-free workplace, safety policies, and procedures.
