Requirements

  • Must be able to work the scheduled shift of Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Experience with packaging machinery and production operations preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, math, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to lift moderate weight and move skids as needed.
  • Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Additional post-high school education preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Production Supervisor in leading all packaging, processing, and sanitation activities.
  • Monitors daily attendance, evaluates individual performance and trains personnel to ensure standards are met.
  • Assists with scheduling personnel in an efficient manner in order to meet daily production requirements.
  • Fill in for various department functions when needed and give breaks.
  • Monitors equipment operations and communicates breakdowns to maintenance.
  • Ensures production of quality product by ensuring all processing and packaging standards are upheld.
  • Integral to executing and monitoring tasks to maintain data integrity/accuracy in ERP data system.
  • Maintains a working knowledge and utilizes RedZone, 6S Principles and Continuous Improvement.
  • Uses EAM to enter work orders and track preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safety-first culture and work environment.
  • Follows and enforces all GMP, food safety practices, and all applicable requirements of the SQF system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that impact and support the overall outcome of company objectives.
