About The Position

The Production Lead oversees all aspects of the plant’s production process, including planning, organizing, and directing workers to ensure production targets are met in a timely and efficient manner. This is a full-time position at the Haw River, North Carolina plant, with Monday–Friday hours from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The role reports to the Plant Manager and requires 0–10% travel.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience operating a skid steer and/or forklift.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
High awareness of safety.
Proficient operation of a forklift and skid steer.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to operate equipment properly and safely.
Strict adherence to OSHA and company policies.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with other departments to ensure equipment and materials are available as needed.
Schedule production runs or shifts to support smooth and efficient operations.
Meet with stakeholders to discuss product quality and delivery schedules.
Review quality control reports for accuracy and address problems that arise with suppliers.
Oversee the production process from beginning to end, including training staff and planning schedules.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available for production.
Determine whether additional staffing is needed to meet production goals and communicate staffing needs to the Plant Manager.
Make continuous safety observations to help ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.
