About The Position

Directs personnel to utilize equipment in the sorting, grading, hanging, categorizing, pricing, distribution and storage of clothing, other textiles, shoes, electrical/mechanical, and wares items to meet established production goals. Will not be authorized to hire or terminate any employee. Establishes and maintains a system of record keeping and report generation which is responsive to the requirements of Goodwill Industries as well as Federal, state, and private agencies. Directs personnel in receiving donations and giving receipts as well as baling, storage, and shipment of salvage textiles. Maintains a safe, secure, clean workplace, along with meeting all safety first aid training requirements, if applicable.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Must be experienced with a good past record in the supervising/leading people in an industrial setting.
Ability to work with and guide team members with disabilities and the disadvantaged.
Must be able to communicate effectively with associates and customers.
Operate 10 key calculator.
Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements.
Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
Sufficiently mobile to supervise employees in all areas of the workplace and grounds, as well as the ability to travel to corporate or other locations, as requested.
May be required to stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of textiles very desirable.
Background in sorting and grading textile useful.
