Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for a Production Lead for the 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • 2 years of Leading experience leading a team in the manufacturing or production support process.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching; the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to changes in temperature, exposure to dust and fumes.
  • Use of ear plugs and other PPE – such as hard hat, steel-toes boots, gloves and safety glasses as required.
  • Must pass Pre-employment Physical and drug test.
  • Requires critical thinking and working closely with production leaders and engineering to ensure that deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate critical areas of pipe finishing, outlets/specials and loading.
  • Coordinate and assure proper material deliveries.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and production objectives are met by being a presence on the floor with practical relevant experience to reinforce best practices.
  • Develop action plans in order to meet deadlines and responsibilities.
  • Monitor personnel for adherence to company policies and productivity.
  • Read blueprints and specifications and be technically proficient.
  • Produce a quality product (including quality evaluations) that meets the customers’ expectations while ensuring that drawings and job specifications are followed.
  • Communications and Training.
  • Performs requirements to satisfy company procedures including administrative requirements.
  • Maintain order.
  • Strives for zero defects and incidents.
  • Evaluate personnel.
