The Production Lead will oversee pre-operation and/or tear down depending on the shift, coordinate line set-up, and review production issues, production schedule orders, and product specifications. This role involves working with other departments to prevent downtime and requires demonstrated leadership abilities to train and direct 12-40 employees. The lead will also drive continuous improvement plant-wide, assign personnel to workstations, provide training, and recommend corrective actions. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with supervisors and line workers. The position is responsible for specification compliance, documentation, and legible record keeping, including lot tracking, waste, quality checks, product usage, and production standards. Basic math skills, data entry into computer programs, and attention to detail are necessary. The ability to read and interpret various production-related documents is required. This position is expected to cross-train in all lead areas related to production and packaging. Safety is paramount, and the employee must work safely at all times, spending approximately 95% of the shift on the floor. A flexible schedule is required, and other duties may be assigned.
