The Production Lead III will oversee pre-operation and/or tear down depending on the shift. This role involves coordinating line setups, reviewing production issues, production schedule orders, and product specifications. The Lead will work with other departments to prevent downtime and lead continuous improvement initiatives plant-wide. Responsibilities include assigning personnel to workstations, providing direction and training, and recommending corrective actions for non-compliance. The position requires excellent communication skills, approachability, and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and line workers. The role is responsible for specification compliance, documentation, and legible record-keeping for the line, including lot tracking, waste, quality checks, product usage, production, and standards. Basic math skills, data entry into computer programs, and attention to detail are essential. The ability to read and interpret various documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and production reports is also required. This position is expected to cross-train in all lead areas related to production and packaging. The employee must work safely at all times and be on the floor 95% of the shift. A flexible schedule is required, and other duties as assigned.
