Requirements

  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience working in a team environment; manufacturing or mechanical experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing principles.
  • Basic computer, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing or mechanical experience.
  • Experience operating a forklift, overhead crane or skid steer.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts and package components required for shipping.
  • Ensure all accessories are correct and bundled securely.
  • Assemble stocked items and hardware boxes.
  • Build pallets, blocking, and crates according to product specifications.
  • Demonstrate Vidir’s Safety Management System and Continuous Improvement accountabilities by leading by example.
  • Pick, stack, and store material safely, including the use of overhead cranes where required.
  • Support material handling and general housekeeping to maintain a safe and continuous flow of production.
  • Ensure correct material is stored in designated areas.
  • Pack and strap material to skids for shipping.
  • Cut material accurately to required specifications using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Safely use and operate basic hand tools such as angle grinders, drills, hammers, and clamps.
  • Prepare products for powder paint coating by cleaning, chemically treating, and drying parts.
  • Perform titration tests to maintain proper acid levels.
  • Ensure products are dry and properly masked before painting.
  • Organize the staging area to support smooth product flow to assembly and packing.
  • Operate the curing oven efficiently and deliver organized, clearly labelled product to assembly.
  • Perform routine maintenance in the paint/wash area and complete other duties as assigned.
