The Production Laborer operates and monitors various plant machinery and equipment, including loaders, forklifts, powered hand tools, stress jacks, button machines, and overhead cranes. Key responsibilities involve performing and assisting with production tasks such as fabrication, demolding, finishing, grinding, assembly, and material handling. The role also includes conducting basic routine maintenance, inspections, and service of equipment, documenting discrepancies, and reporting issues to supervisors. General manual labor tasks like lifting, pulling, carrying, sweeping, cleaning, and moving materials are required. The laborer monitors production flow, process parameters, and equipment performance to ensure quality and efficiency, and assists in troubleshooting and performing minor adjustments or repairs. Operating mobile equipment like forklifts, front-end loaders, cranes, and bobcats for material movement is essential. Maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas, including outside material storage areas/yards and production floors, is also part of the job. Additional duties include assisting with shipping and receiving documentation, participating in safety meetings, training co-workers, performing inventory counts, and interpreting fabrication drawings and work instructions. Adherence to company principles, safety rules, and regulatory standards is mandatory.
