This Production Laborer role involves operating and monitoring various plant machinery and equipment, including loaders, forklifts, powered hand tools, stress jacks, button machines, and overhead cranes. Key responsibilities include performing production tasks such as fabrication, demolding, finishing, grinding, assembly, and material handling. The position also requires conducting basic routine maintenance, inspections, and service of equipment, documenting discrepancies, and reporting issues to supervisors. General manual labor tasks like lifting, pulling, carrying, sweeping, cleaning, and moving materials are essential. The laborer will monitor production flow, process parameters, and equipment performance to ensure quality and efficiency, and assist in troubleshooting and performing minor repairs. Operating mobile equipment like forklifts, front-end loaders, cranes, and bobcats to move materials is also part of the job. Maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas, assisting with shipping and receiving, participating in safety meetings, and training co-workers are expected. Candidates must follow all company principles, safety rules, and regulatory standards. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment, basic mechanical knowledge, the ability to read or learn blueprints and fabrication drawings, and basic math skills. Strong dependability and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also necessary.
