About The Position

The Production Laborer supports the manufacturing of aerospace-grade insulation systems used in aircraft and aerospace applications. This position assists in material preparation, fabrication, assembly, and inspection processes while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, engineering specifications, and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred (aerospace or technical fabrication a plus).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision work.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working with hand tools and light industrial machinery.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, quality-focused environment.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Must be a (i) US Citizen, (ii) lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (aka green card holder), (iii) protected individual as defined by U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or (iv) eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in aerospace, aviation, or technical manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards.
  • Experience in cleanroom or controlled production environments.
  • Sewing or composite material handling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Cut, trim, and prepare high-performance insulation materials according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Assist in fabrication and assembly of aerospace insulation blankets and components.
  • Operate production equipment such as cutting tables, sewing machines, heat sealers, laminators, and bonding equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Measure materials accurately using rulers, tape measures, and precision tools.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Maintain cleanrooms or controlled-environment standards where required.
  • Package and label completed components per aerospace shipping requirements.
  • Follow all company safety policies, FAA guidelines, and quality management systems (AS9100 standards if applicable).
  • Report material defects, equipment issues, or non-conformances to supervisors.
  • Assist with inventory handling and material staging.
