About The Position

The role is responsible for overseeing daily operational workflows, ensuring production goals are met, and collaborating with upper management to resolve issues as they arise. This position maintains accurate shop data records, enforces company policies, and ensures staff have the necessary resources and supplies to perform effectively. It includes hands-on support with equipment troubleshooting and supply verification, as well as proactive communication with supervisors regarding operational needs. Additional responsibilities include contributing to staff performance management and assisting with root cause analysis. Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift Sealant Certified
  • Minimum of 1 year in the Window Belt department or 3 years leadership experience externally, preferably an industrial environment.
  • Ability to communicate machine problems, quality issues and other concerns or questions to departmental management
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be quality conscious
  • Ability to use and interpret precision measurement equipment
  • Ability to interpret specs and/or engineering
  • Ability to use various hand tools
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Moderate data entry skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Moderate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily workflow throughout entire shift to monitor goals and troubleshoot with upper management, as necessary.
  • Maintain shop data spreadsheets
  • Enforces company policies
  • Provide back-up coverage for positions in the department
  • Enforce safety policies and practices to minimize risk and avoid workplace accidents.
  • Ensures staff has the supplies and resources needed
  • Assist in troubleshooting of equipment and machines
  • Verify consumable supplies and communicate to supervisor any needs or concerns
  • Oversees employee training and strategically plans training for back up coverages, including maintaining up to date SOPs.
  • Assists with staff performance management, provide feedback and conduct performance reviews to foster professional growth.
  • Provide effective ties from shift to shift through written documentation
  • Inform upper management immediately of any defects in your area and assist with root cause analysis
  • Assure the maintaining of a clean, orderly work environment
