About The Position

National Vision is a leading optical retail company with over 1,100 stores across the United States, operating under brands like America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses and Eyeglass World. Our optical manufacturing facility is expanding and seeking both entry-level and experienced optical technicians for stockroom/inventory roles. This position is full-time and operates on a 3-day work week with 4 days off, ideal for work-life balance and reduced commuting. The shifts are 3:30 pm to 4:00 am, either Sunday through Tuesday or Wednesday through Friday. Entry-level pay starts at $17.05, including a 10% shift differential, with additional bi-weekly bonus opportunities and a generous PTO plan.

No specific experience required for entry-level positions.
Must be able to read and write English.

Nice To Haves

Prior order picking, inventory, warehouse, or mass production experience is preferred.
Prior related or optical experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Observe data on job orders.
Sort and organize job orders.
Perform RF scanning.
Complete other department-specific tasks.
Print orders and place tickets in job trays.
De-box lenses from manufacturers and place them correctly on trays for processing.
Pre-inspect lenses for visual imperfections and send defects back to the manufacturer.
Pick frames and lenses by locating bin numbers on the Rx and scanning barcodes on trays and frames.
Organize job trays, sort jobs, and place them into production.
Perform stocking duties, receiving, and periodic inventory checks.
Return lenses and frames to inventory for canceled orders.
Research order failures.
Load new frames in DVI.
Process lens breakage.
