About The Position

Summer 2027 internship introducing the intern to the full manufacturing process, from procurement and raw-material receiving through pasteurization, filling, packaging, warehouse stocking, and warehouse loading. The intern will focus on each stage, from procurement of MIP to loading trucks and trailers for customer deliveries, and will observe laboratory testing at each necessary step. The role also includes a ride-along on a local delivery route and shadowing employees in merchandising, finance, and inventory management.

Requirements

• Be a junior or senior in fall 2027.
• Have a degree focus in a science associated with dairy.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the manufacturing process, from procurement and raw-material receiving through pasteurization, filling, packaging, warehouse stocking, and warehouse loading.
• Observe lab testing at each necessary step in the process.
• Ride along on a local route delivery.
• Shadow a Merchandising Representative while they inventory, stock, and order products on their route.
• Shadow Finance to learn about route settlement and cost accounting.
• Shadow Inventory Management.
