About The Position

ABC News is a leading national news organization delivering journalism across broadcast, digital, radio, and streaming platforms, including flagship programs such as World News Tonight with David Muir, Good Morning America, Nightline, 20/20, and This Week with George Stephanopoulos. As an ABC News Intern you will gain experience and exposure to network level news research, editorial and operational coverage, and broadcast and digital production. Additionally, you will have access to industry-leading professionals, as well as development and mentorship opportunities. Areas of placement may include, but not limited to: Good Morning America, The View, Nightline, 20/20, World News Tonight with David Muir, ABC News Live, Broadcast Operations, Audio/Radio News, Newsgathering Desk, ABC News Studios, ABC News Digital, Specialized Units.

Requirements

  • Previous internship or on-campus involvement in journalism, news writing and/or television production
  • Experience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects
  • Experience working in collaborative environments, researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available to work 40 hours per week (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor and could include nights and/or weekends)
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate students in their junior/senior year preferred
  • Major or previous coursework in Broadcast Journalism, Communication or related major
  • A cover letter indicating your top areas of interest preferred
