About The Position

As a Production Industrial Engineer, you will drive improvements across manufacturing operations by analyzing data, optimizing processes, and leading initiatives that enhance production efficiency, throughput, and cost performance. You will work at the intersection of production, data, and engineering, partnering across functions to ensure manufacturing systems are designed and operating at peak performance.

Requirements

  • Industrial Engineering experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally within manufacturing or operations teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience planning, launching, and ramping up new production lines or manufacturing programs
  • Experience using production analytics and simulation tools (e.g., SAP, Apriso, VECAMS, Tableau, Simio)
  • Ability to develop and execute production ramp plans that increase rate while maintaining quality and efficiency
  • Strong communication skills, including building and delivering presentations to leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with new program introduction (NPI) or production launch processes
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS), including S-Curves, SPI, and CPI analysis
  • Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Value Stream Mapping, process mapping)
  • Experience analyzing production data to identify issues and implement process improvements
  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, capacity analysis, and throughput optimization
  • Active Secret security clearance is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, root causes, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and Industrial Engineering methods
  • Develop and apply discrete event simulation or similar modeling techniques to evaluate production scenarios and optimize system performance
  • Support production planning activities including capacity analysis, scheduling, and production rate optimization
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Facilities Engineering to support production line design, layout, and workflow optimization
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics related to cost, schedule, and throughput
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across production, engineering, supply chain, and program teams
