About The Position

The Industrial Engineer / Production Planner is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes and developing efficient production plans to meet customer demand, improve productivity, and reduce costs. This role combines engineering analysis with hands-on planning to ensure smooth, cost-effective operations across the production floor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 3+ years related experience with Industrial engineering of production activities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, ERP system(s), value stream flow processes and theory of constraints.
  • Microsoft Office and Word
  • Onsite work only

Nice To Haves

  • Previous material management experience is preferred
  • Knowledge or experience with Genius ERP system a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory levels and product demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs.
  • Review Engineering Bill of Materials and enter into production control software the parts and labor routing to facilitate the manufacturing of the design in the most efficient manner.
  • Develop work order templates to flow materials through the value stream.
  • Maintain parts and labor routings for all new, existing and change order materials.
  • Maintain model configurator software to lates BOM release.
  • Approve engineering drawings for manufacturing capability or outsource requirements.
  • Build a schedule from the sales forecast to ensure level loading of manufacturing and satisfying customer demand.
  • Adjust weekly schedule based on production hours, time to build, parts and people availability and market demand.
  • Analyze capacity, labor, and equipment constraints to optimize workflow and throughput.
  • Analyze made to stock components for economic replenishment levels to prevent shortages.
  • Coordinate and plan materials requirements for new product introductions, including review of new BOM’s and cut-in dates for build verification and production units.
