About The Position

The purpose of this position is to lead and direct hourly team members to produce high-quality products that meet company quality standards while achieving financial and business objectives. Essential functions include providing quality products to customers globally; achieving production, daily hatch, and safety objectives; developing and retaining qualified team members; and ensuring compliance with TSA and NPIP regulations governing Cobb business activities.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge in a general professional field, normally acquired through four (4) years of college resulting in a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two (2) or more years of poultry management–related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using available computer programs.
  • Four (4) or more domestic trips per year.
  • Direct supervision of approximately 20 or more hourly team members.
  • Must use safe lifting techniques.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk; and hear.
  • The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Team members are expected to follow all required safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • The job site is a biosecurity environment that requires showering before entering the facility and may require multiple showers during the workday.
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company.
  • No jewelry may be worn on the job site except medical ID jewelry.
  • Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid all avian species (including chickens, ducks, and birds).
  • The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
  • Must be willing to follow all Biosecurity Standards guidelines.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
