Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required
  • Compliance with the company’s cybersecurity, information security, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling policies
  • For select positions, may be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status to meet minimum qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Using a crane
  • Reading work orders
  • Learning specifications
  • Using precision measurement tools
  • Heat treating aluminum aircraft parts
  • Troubleshooting and repairing machines
  • Operating automatic and manual chemical process equipment
  • Controlling heat-treating furnaces, baths, and quenching equipment
  • Determining temperature and time of heating cycles, and type and temperature of baths and quenching medium
  • Using standard heating charts and knowledge of heat treating methods, equipment, and properties of metals
  • Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting controls as required
  • Verifying conformance of finished work pieces to specifications
  • Setting up and operating machines on trial runs
  • Fitting and assembling parts into complete assemblies
  • Verifying dimensions and alignment of assemblies
  • Installing machine replacement parts and testing operation
  • Conferring with engineers, production personnel, and others to resolve machining or assembly problems
  • Reporting to work on time with good regular attendance
  • Following instructions from supervisors or management
  • Interacting well with co-workers
  • Understanding and following work rules and procedures
  • Cross-training into other various departments
  • Performing other various duties as needed or assigned
