Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required
Compliance with the company’s cybersecurity, information security, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling policies
For select positions, may be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status to meet minimum qualifications

Responsibilities

Using a crane
Reading work orders
Learning specifications
Using precision measurement tools
Heat treating aluminum aircraft parts
Troubleshooting and repairing machines
Operating automatic and manual chemical process equipment
Controlling heat-treating furnaces, baths, and quenching equipment
Determining temperature and time of heating cycles, and type and temperature of baths and quenching medium
Using standard heating charts and knowledge of heat treating methods, equipment, and properties of metals
Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting controls as required
Verifying conformance of finished work pieces to specifications
Setting up and operating machines on trial runs
Fitting and assembling parts into complete assemblies
Verifying dimensions and alignment of assemblies
Installing machine replacement parts and testing operation
Conferring with engineers, production personnel, and others to resolve machining or assembly problems
Reporting to work on time with good regular attendance
Following instructions from supervisors or management
Interacting well with co-workers
Understanding and following work rules and procedures
Cross-training into other various departments
Performing other various duties as needed or assigned
