Requirements

  • High school degree / diploma
  • 2 years of post-high school education or combination of education and manufacturing experience
  • Experience with automated manufacturing, stamping equipment, and press tooling.
  • Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem solving or other applied leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee rotation of production activities in the press area to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Monitor standardized work is being followed.
  • Establish production standards and monitor individual tech performance to ensure area goals are met.
  • Plan ahead changeovers to minimize disruption of production.
  • Work as a liaison between Press Tech’s and Tooling Tech’s to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare and present presentations to large and small groups.
  • Conduct effective evaluations and monitor the skill level of the press room Product Techs.
  • Conduct training for Teammates.
  • Gathering of information and auditing of daily reports.
  • Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change.
