About The Position

Forney Industries is seeking a Production Graphic Artist (Temporary) to support a high-volume packaging update initiative across approximately 2,500 products. This role is responsible for revising and updating existing packaging files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current brand, regulatory, and product standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Marketing and Product Line Management teams, gathering and applying product information, specifications, and messaging to packaging layouts. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with a creative mindset and a commitment to producing high-quality work. This is a temporary, in-person position and is not eligible for remote work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years working as a Graphic Designer or similar position
  • PC proficient
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe creative suite CC, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy while taking ownership and seeing work projects through to completion
  • Be a positive contributor to the achievement of assigned departmental targets/goals
  • Ability to organize self and others while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and other database and website-related software including but not limited to: Adobe software
  • Able to work effectively with multi-functional teams and executive staff
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or virtual on-line classroom
  • Must be a self-starter and able to perform tasks without direct supervision
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
  • Maintains strict confidentiality at all times

Responsibilities

  • Update existing packaging and create new packaging staying true to brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure end product meets all required specifications
  • Work independently, on task, and meet all deadlines
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of company’s products, services and policies
  • Communicate with Marketing and Product Line team on project progress and/or barriers
  • Perform other tasks/duties as assigned or required
