About The Position

Clow Valve's Machine Shop has an opening for a production forklift operator. This is a 2nd shift position, Monday through Thursday, from 3pm to 1am. The starting wage is $27.29, with a qualified wage of $27.67. Health insurance is available after 60 days.

Requirements

Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
Frequent pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting of certain weights required.
Standing & walking greater than 2 hours per day.
Sitting greater than 7 hours per day.
Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.
Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, exert force, wear gloves, write & utilize tools.
Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions.
Ability to work with solvents & chemicals, operate a crane, truck, forklift & other moving vehicles.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including but not limited to earplugs, safety glasses, metatarsal & guarded boots are required

Manufacturing experience & working around machinery considered.

Responsibilities

Inspecting their forklift and filling out inspection paperwork.
Visually assessing and clearing their traffic area of people, objects, and other forklift traffic.
Inspect loads verifying they are secure for transport and accurate.
Transfer to designated location throughout the facility by complying with all safety rules and regulations.
