About The Position

The Production Fork Lift Operator removes finished products from the main production line and transports them to designated warehouse storage. The role also handles incoming materials, moves and stores palletized or crated goods, supplies production workstations with raw materials, and helps maintain a safe, orderly, and clean facility. The operator follows inventory-control instructions, company policies, legal guidelines, and safe operating practices, and performs regular equipment checks and maintenance.

Requirements

Able to lift 35 pounds.
Able to perform work involving repetitive motion.
Implement and follow safe work practices and rules.
Proven experience as a forklift operator.
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
Good math, language, and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
High degree of attention to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment.
Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Remove finished product from the main production line and transport it to designated warehouse storage.
Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned locations.
Move palletized or crated goods around the storage facility.
Locate and move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment according to inventory-control instructions.
Stack empty pallets.
Identify damage and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
Transport raw materials to production workstations.
Inspect machinery to determine repair needs and perform regular maintenance to help ensure safety.
Follow company policies and legal guidelines.
Help maintain a safe, orderly, and clean facility.
Follow equipment operating instructions and maintain records.
Complete assignments accurately, promptly, and safely.
