About The Position

Sensient Technologies is hiring a Fork Lift Operator for its rapidly growing Natural Color Conversion operation. Working Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the operator coordinates product movement throughout the facility to maintain a consistent flow of materials. The role covers shipping and receiving, warehouse inventory management, freight handling, shipment preparation, and accurate inventory recordkeeping. The operator works closely with Inventory Control, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, and the Warehouse Operations Manager to learn warehouse responsibilities and ensure procedures are followed in accordance with ISO 9001 and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior warehouse operations and inventory management experience.
• 3–5 years of inventory operations and forklift experience, including Reach, Stand, and Sit forklifts.
• Ability to work overtime any day, up to and including Saturday and Sunday, as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and math skills.
• Ability to label, weigh, and dimension freight, and record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports.

Nice To Haves

• AS400 operation experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
• Maintain and manage inventory to maximize storage capacity, respond to emergency material requests, load and unload docks, manage disposal inventory, and operate a forklift for Shipping and Receiving.
• Enter, maintain, and update computer inventory records to provide accurate, real-time inventory information.
• Maintain inventory in accordance with housekeeping and stock maintenance guidelines and achieve and maintain inventory accuracy of 95% or higher.
• Manage the inventory, rotation, and inspection of freight held in the warehouse.
• Label shipments and products.
• Complete required documentation and prepare shipments and boxes for shipping.
• Work closely with Inventory Control, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, and the Warehouse Operations Manager to learn warehouse responsibilities and ensure procedures are followed in accordance with ISO 9001 and safety standards.
