Requirements

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few physical variables in every day situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret metal rule.

Manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Train and become proficient in multiple operating positions, including but not limited to Loader, Fiber Feeder Operator, Rewinder Operator, Utility, and A-Station.
Participate in all housekeeping functions for assigned crew.
Participate in all short stop/down day activities for assigned crew.
Assist as needed with logistics department.
Must operate assigned machinery in compliance with standard procedures.
Responsible for operation of equipment in a safe manner to prevent damage to equipment and prevent injury to self and others.
Must wear safety and health protective equipment as specified.
Must be able to safely load and unload material using a forklift and/or clamp-truck.
In addition to the forklift, there will be other basic material handling tools. A hand truck, drum truck, etc., will be used when it becomes a more efficient method of material handling.
Must be able to operate a computer as well as multiple computer-based systems.
Must keep accurate operational records as directed.
Must show a commitment to working in a team environment, while keeping a positive attitude and a willingness to be flexible.
Other duties as assigned.
