Requirements

  • Good command of the English language.
  • Ability to read, communicate and understand written instructions.
  • Understanding of KPI’s and manufacturing processes.
  • 2 years of related production line experience.
  • Quality & Safety Awareness.
  • Understanding of Lean Principles.
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Basic mathematical abilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Inventory Management System (JDE) proficiency.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds and push or pull drums weighing up to 400 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent sitting, stair climbing, use of hands, and verbal communication.
  • Occasional standing and walking.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and comply with FAA-required drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to meet the physical and mental requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Required use of PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes.

Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance and assisting employees on production duties.
  • Troubleshooting equipment.
  • Backfilling on production lines as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Assisting the Production Lead to achieve daily production objectives while remaining focused on attaining safety and quality results by utilizing continuous improvement in every department process.
  • Attending informational, training, safety, and compliance meetings as scheduled.
  • Providing guidance and support as a Production Floater to other production personnel, acting as a mentor and coach.
  • Assisting in identifying continuous improvement opportunities for production line operation.
  • Performing processes to complete bottle filling assemblies and sub-assembly machines.
  • Following written instructions on the Work Order & Finished Part Document to produce various products.
  • Assisting in production line activities such as changeovers to help streamline flow and meet production goals.
  • Assisting the Production Lead & Training Specialist with employee training as assigned.
  • Reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the department Manager and following nonconforming procedures.
  • Utilizing all equipment safely, efficiently, and performing all required safety checks and communicating the need for repairs.
  • Participating in plant continuous improvement activities and processes.
  • Completing tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision.
  • Maintaining plant cleanliness such that customer tours can be a positive marketing experience.
  • Becoming proficient in the use of Ascentek's manufacturing & inventory control system (JDE).
  • Performing other duties as required or assigned.
  • Minimal travel required for this position, e.g. On occasion travel may be required between locations depending on business needs.
