About The Position
Hillyard, Inc. is currently taking applications for Production for our Soap team in St. Joseph, MO. This role is ideal for individuals with production experience, familiarity with FDA regulations, and a preference for working in a small team environment. The position involves operating and monitoring production machinery, preparing raw materials, performing quality checks, packaging, labeling, and maintaining a clean work environment. Accurate documentation and routine equipment maintenance are also key responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Possess fundamental mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new process and technologies.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and GMP requirements preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
- Measure, mix, and prepare raw materials.
- Perform in-process quality checks to ensure products meet FDA and company specifications.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and inspection of finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Complete accurate documentation for production activities.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
