About The Position

Wasatch Labs is seeking a Filling Machine Operator to join their team. The role involves setting up, operating, and adjusting filling machines to ensure efficient and accurate product filling. The operator will monitor machine performance, perform routine inspections and basic maintenance, and conduct quality control measures. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety guidelines. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining a clean work area, assisting with equipment changeovers, and collaborating with team members to meet production targets. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

Previous experience in operating filling machines or working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in dietary supplements, food, or pharmaceuticals.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to address minor equipment issues.
Ability to read and follow instructions, batch records, and technical documents in English (bilingual English/Spanish is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to operate lifting equipment.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.

High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and adjust filling machines to ensure efficient and accurate product filling.
Monitor machine performance during production runs and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and minimize downtime.
Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance, including cleaning and sanitizing machinery according to company protocols.
Conduct weight checks, volume checks, and other quality control measures to ensure compliance with product specifications.
Identify and report any mechanical issues, product inconsistencies, or safety hazards to the supervisor or maintenance team.
Complete production records and batch documentation accurately and promptly.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
Assist in the changeover of equipment for different products or batch sizes as required.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and resolve any operational challenges.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
