Production Facility Quality Control Inspector
About The Position
Model 1, formerly known as Creative Bus Sales, is seeking a Production Facility Quality Control Inspector to join their team at the Goshen IN Forest River Bus location and all completed units at Abroc Specialty Vehicles. This role is crucial for ensuring that every vehicle produced meets the quality expectations set by Model 1. The inspector will verify that vehicles align with the approved build sheet and will work closely with the Forest River and Arboc QC Teams. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reporting any changes, faults, concerns, or alterations to the QC teams for repair, and escalating any repair completion concerns to the Model 1 QC manager. Additionally, this position is responsible for checking units into the Model 1 computer system. Model 1 is the nation's largest dealership, representing over 20 manufacturers, and is committed to being a partner in creative solutions and visionary thinking, focusing on custom-built vehicles and alternative fuel/electric vehicle options.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 year’s Industry Experience
- Technical knowledge of the characteristics and maintenance needs of a wide variety of transit and mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of shop operations
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong Initiative
- Strong organizational skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Capable of time management
Responsibilities
- Review Factory build sheets to perform quality inspections on all buses produced by Forest River and Arboc for Model 1.
- Following the Quality control inspection the list of discrepancies and concerns will be given to the Fores River and Arboc teams for correction.
- Responsible for completing quality control form and ensuring all corrections are completed per Model 1 quality standards.
- Document all inspection findings into Model 1 software system.
- Check the unit into the Model 1 computer system.
- All other duties as assigned.
