This role involves managing the progress of expedite orders, pull-aheads, and late orders to ensure customer delivery expectations are met. The Expeditor assists in the planning process by creating work orders and releasing job orders to production. They also support shop employees with production-related questions and ensure work flows smoothly between production departments. A basic knowledge of aerospace metal finishing processes and specifications is required. The role encourages operational excellence through innovative thinking and process improvement, acting as a role model for challenging old methods and taking responsible risks. The Expeditor manages schedule changes and conflicts with production leads and managers, coordinates truck deliveries and pickups, and works as necessary during critical times to meet customer deadlines. Maintaining an orderly work area, handling customer-supplied product with care, and understanding ORIZON’s quality standards are also key aspects of this position. Adherence to protocols for quality, on-time delivery, and safety, along with effective time management, is crucial. Professional interaction with co-workers and vendors, understanding internal customers, and maintaining good relations are expected. The role requires quick responses to inquiries and follow-ups as needed. Duties may expand based on business demands, and embracing change is essential for the company's success.
