About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Specialist (Level B) or (Level C) to support our Production Equipment Maintenance Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on variable shifts, including nights and weekends. This role involves performing maintenance on factory equipment, troubleshooting, analyzing, inspecting, disassembling, rebuilding, modifying, and testing factory machinery and equipment using knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. The technician will use and interpret advanced blueprints and schematics, respond to repair requests, and manage component and replacement part inventories. The position works under limited supervision.

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to work a variable shift.
  • 1+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
  • 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • 1+ years of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters.
  • 1+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Level C: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • 3+ years of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters.
  • 3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance on factory equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, inspects, disassembles, rebuilds, modifies and tests factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Uses and interprets advanced blueprints and schematics to maintain and repair equipment.
  • Responds to requests for equipment repair.
  • Maintains and manages component and replacement part inventories.
