About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Production Equipment Maintenance Technician (Level B or C) to join the Production Equipment Maintenance Team working in North Charleston, South Carolina on a variable shift! This role performs maintenance on factory equipment. Troubleshoots, analyzes, inspects, disassembles, rebuilds, modifies and tests factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Uses and interprets advanced blueprints and schematics to maintain and repair equipment. Responds to requests for equipment repair. Maintains and manages component and replacement part inventories. Works under limited supervision.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.
  • 1+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
  • 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics (preferably electrical, mechanical and pneumatic).
  • 1+ years of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters.
  • 1+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • 3+ years of experience with automation systems maintenance, robotics systems, and various types of equipment controllers, such as Siemens 840D, Fanuc, and Allen Bradley.
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and operating PLCs (preferably Siemens and Allen Bradley).
