About The Position
Our well established manufacturing client is seeking a detail-oriented Production Engineering Generalist to support engineering and production teams with documentation, process coordination, and shop-floor readiness. This temporary role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient production by preparing and validating critical manufacturing documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or shop floor experience who enjoys working with technical data, drawings, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
Nice To Haves
- Experience in manufacturing, production support, or machine shop environments preferred
- Experience with ERP or SAP systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare and release production documentation including travelers, routings, bills of materials, and inspection records
- Apply standard manufacturing processes and task lists to new and existing parts
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with production requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, and production teams to support timely job release
- Identify and escalate discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies in documentation
- Support efficient workflow between departments to meet production timelines
- Assist with selecting appropriate raw materials based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Help ensure materials and documentation are ready for shop floor execution
- Maintain high standards for accuracy and attention to detail
- Support process improvements to enhance production efficiency and documentation accuracy
- Perform other related tasks to support production engineering and manufacturing operations
