About The Position

Haigh-Farr is a premier antenna design, manufacturing and test house developing products used across all platforms in the aerospace industry including missions to Mars, the International Space Station and products fielded to the U.S. Military supporting the warfighter. In our over 50-year history we have enjoyed steady, planned growth. Haigh-Farr plans to further grow our team and capabilities to meet increasing demand and to expand into new markets and antenna technologies. Haigh-Farr is seeking an experienced Production Engineer for our 2nd Shift with a strong commitment to achieving quality work on scheduled timelines. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to facilitate the flow of product through a production environment while analyzing and improving processes. A 10% Shift Differential will be paid with the option of working 4-10's.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Collaborative, working with engineering, technicians, machinist and quality control.
  • Ability to inspect parts using typical inspection tools and techniques.
  • Attention to detail at the highest level is required.
  • Experience in working from prints required.
  • Strong commitment to achieving quality work.
  • Team player who will pitch in where needed to get the job done.
  • Must be organized and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s in Engineering degree
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship required, with ability to possess a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in CAD software is preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training is preferred
  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work within the engineering group on the 1st shift for a few months before transitioning to the production floor.
  • Facilitate the flow of products through the production process.
  • Identify and resolve any bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process.
  • Identify potential technical or manufacturing risks and mitigate issues.
  • Lead projects related to the introduction of new products in production.
  • Complete the production and manufacturing or products through the use of hand tools, fabrication techniques and on-the-job training.
  • Use critical thinking to objectively evaluate information and make informed decision.
  • Maintain proper documentation.
  • Assist in production planning and scheduling.
