Production Engineer
About The Position
HL Mando America Corporation in Hogansville, Georgia is seeking a Production Engineer. This role is responsible for optimizing production line operations, focusing on new model implementation and tooling/machine modification. The Production Engineer will review engineering documents, improve production efficiency, and support the introduction of new products and equipment. The position requires applying technical knowledge related to automotive assembly processes, particularly for rack-type electrical power steering (EPS) systems. Key duties include monitoring and controlling daily production line operations to ensure efficiency and quality, analyzing and improving production processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime, and preparing and managing AIAG manufacturing process documentation (process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, work standards, and check sheets). The role also involves providing engineering support for product design changes and new model launches, collaborating with cross-functional teams for smooth implementation of new machinery or process changes, and troubleshooting issues related to servomotors and robotic systems in the production environment. A strong understanding of engineering principles in rack-type EPS gear assembly production processes is essential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 1 year of experience working with manufacturing process documents, including product drawings, PFMEA, or control plans.
- Alternatively, 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields.
- 1 year of experience improving production efficiency involving machinery and product flow.
- 1 year of experience performing machine and tooling modification for new product implementation.
- 1 year of experience working with servomotors and robotic equipment in a production setting.
- 1 year of experience performing data analysis and server maintenance in a production environment.
