About The Position

The Production Engineer will work primarily within the Production Engineering team but will have key working relationships with the New Product Introduction (NPI), Production, Purchasing, QA/RA and R&D departments. This role requires a driven and flexible individual that can multi-task, plan, schedule and coordinate various tasks, taking ownership of tight time scales. A Production Engineer will work closely with the QA team to process all customer change requests allocated to the Production Engineering department in a timely manner to support the smooth running of the business. This role will fully support the manufacturing facility to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Degree level in either mechanical or electronics engineering.
Positive attitude to continuous improvement with proven experience

Accountable and responsible.
Excellent communication skills across internal and external customers
Good organisation skills.
Diligent with an eye for detail.
Excellent time management skills to effectively handle conflicting priorities and ensure tight deadlines are met.
Experience of ERP system.
Competency with Microsoft Office products, particularly desirable in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.
Process validation experience.

Nice To Haves

ISO 13485/MDR trained an advantage.
CAD and Design experience an advantage.
Programming in C or Python an advantage.

Responsibilities

PFMEA/Process Validation
Work Cell set up
Build pilot production units
Creation and maintenance of manufacturing work instructions
Creation of manufacturing work flow charts
Control of Gerber data and project specific software and firmware
Review jigs and fixtures within manufacturing for efficiency
MRP structuring and peer review of structures
Training of production staff
Generate new training records on Train Track
Willingness to travel to customer/supplier sites within the UK and internationally.
Adherence to all Company policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
Provide Environmental commitment for site in order to maintain sustainability and progression to net zero.
Working positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
