From tiltrotor technology to tail sitting vehicles, our engineers work across a wide portfolio of aircraft programs. You can expect to be responsible for understanding aircraft assembly, process engineering, assembly tooling, estimating and budgetary processes. The position includes production liaison support, process planning, tool planning and project management.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • PC proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Dassault 3DX, SAP ECC and SAP PEO, and CAB processes.
  • Comply with ISO, DIs and BHT SPIs, and MD
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently perform top-to-bottom BOM creation, reconciliation and maintenance.
  • Skillfully transform engineering designs into text, graphic and animated shop instructions.
  • Competently incorporate design updates to master plans and WIP (orders, stock, aircraft, etc.).
  • Demonstrate general understanding of assembly processes and tool index requirements.
  • Effectively interrogate Blueprints and Digital Product Definition (CAD, GD&T, etc.).
  • Provide responsive liaison support to the factory floor.
  • Organize, facilitate and manage small projects – plan, execute and close.
  • Provide limited training assistance to team members.
  • Core & Project positions are primarily responsible for, but not limited to, the preparation and presentation of written and oral status reports and updates to Production Engineering leadership.
  • Analysis and review of Engineering Requests, SOWs, Cost Reduction Initiatives and EVM data to determine impact on process and tooling disciplines. Additionally, core positions are responsible for the incorporation of planning changes into the applicable planning delivery systems. Capable of leading small projects through all phases.
  • Liaison positions are primarily responsible for, but not limited to, providing problem solving of routine tasks impacting redline support, root cause corrective action, tooling and process improvements to the manufacturing operations.
  • Additionally, liaison positions are responsible for the incorporation of planning changes within the applicable planning delivery systems.
  • Capable of leading small projects through all phases.
