How You’ll Make an Impact As a Production Engineer/Technical Advisor , you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, you will directly impact the safe, efficient, environmentally compliant and reliable operations of our TempRite® CPVC resin production unit. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will: Understand the unit’s technology, equipment and process control, providing subject matter expertise to the unit. Ensure the required operating discipline, best practices and technology is implemented to optimize and improve unit safety, performance and production. Build the technical competencies of operators by sharing process knowledge, equipment functionality and performance, problem-solving thought process and techniques, and experience. Assist operators with troubleshooting process and equipment technical performance issues. Network with maintenance, reliability, and process improvement plant personnel to resolve mechanical and operational issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Contribute to updating and improving the unit’s operating discipline and procedures. Lead and contribute to root cause investigations and action plans for unplanned department events. Understand and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology. Initiate MOC’s as necessary. Understand and close unit asset utilization operational performance gaps on a daily basis. Maintain a personal development plan with guidance from leadership to continuously learn and develop.

Requirements

  • BS in an Engineering discipline, Chemical Engineering is preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Production in a Chemical Manufacturing Facility.
  • 2 years of Co-op experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PI Data Historian, SAP, Seeq software, a plus.
