More about us: https://www.hach.com/about-us Reporting to the Sr Manager, PCBA Insourcing, the Production Engineer II is responsible for determining the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products from start-up, building the product line, through satisfactory production. This Production Engineer II is an integral part of our Operations Engineering Team located onsite in Loveland, CO. Within our team we strive to deliver high-quality products on time, using our Veralto Enterprise System tools to solve problems and consistently improve our processes.

Requirements

  • B.S. or equivalent in related Engineering or Technology degree; or equivalent work experience
  • Direct circuit board manufacturing experience, SMT exposure is highly preferred
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in related manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with design change processes (ECO/DCO) preferred
  • Proven experience leading technical projects
  • CAD (2D/3D) experience

Responsibilities

  • Make continuous improvements and develop manufacturing process solutions that improve quality, delivery, and cost to customers by minimizing downtime and rework due to quality and/or obsolescence issues
  • Solve technical issues by identifying root cause(s) and identifying both short-term and long-term countermeasures
  • Design and develop poka-yoke methods/fixtures within manufacturing process to improve quality and delivery
  • Create action plans that are used to ensure on-time completion of projects
  • Create and update Manufacturing work instructions and validate manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Initiate engineering change orders and documentation changes while meeting corporate quality systems standards and coordinate changes cross-functionally with planning, purchasing, supplier quality, development, regulatory, and manufacturing
  • Ensure company, industry, and regulatory standards are met
